E-invoice

E-invoice enables a structured electronic exchange of invoice data between companies, customers, and public authorities. The CSB-System supports the creation, processing, and transmission of electronic invoices with an integrated function in Accounting, thereby meeting current legal and market requirements.

E-invoice integrated into the CSB-System

The handling of e-invoices is completely integrated into the finance and billing process of the CSB-System. Invoices are generated in the business processes – for example, in Sales, Shipping, or Performance Entry – and processed without any media disruptions. This creates a direct link between the operational and commercial processes. 

Unlike classic PDF invoices, e-invoices are generated and transmitted as structured data records. As a result, invoice data can be verified, posted, and archived automatically. This minimizes manual registration steps, error sources, and throughput times. 

Connection to external systems and platforms

The CSB-System provides interfaces enabling the exchange of electronic invoices with customers, authorities, and partner platforms. This makes E-invoice an integral part of the all-encompassing CSB interface and integration strategy. Changes in legal requirements or formats can be considered by the system. 

Version tracking and audit trails

The CSB-System stores all electronic invoices, maintaining the audit trail to ensure end-to-end documentation. Billing data is clearly allocated to the business transactions and can be easily verified and evaluated. 

Integration into Accounting and Controlling

E-invoice data are supplied to Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Reporting. Open items, payments, and revenues can be transparently monitored in real time.
