Geilenkirchen, August 12, 2026 - With its Agent Platform, the software and technology provider CSB-System adds further AI capabilities to its portfolio. Designed for companies in the process industries, the new solution helps automate data processing, efficiently handle repetitive tasks, and reduce the workload of skilled workers.
Meeting rising demands, managing increasing process complexity, and handling growing data volumes despite limited availability of staff has become a major challenge for many companies in the process industries.
With its new CSB Agent Platform, CSB provides the solution to address this challenge: individual AI agents (agent flows) automate repetitive, routine tasks along operational processes and free up skilled staff for more productive work. Whether order entry, document processing, or providing relevant data to downstream processes – incoming information is automatically processed, reconciled with ERP data, and prepared for further processing.
One example is automated order entry. The system automatically extracts data from incoming emails, converts content of PDFs, Excel files, or voice messages into structured data, and prepares the order for checking. This significantly reduces manual work, prevents errors, and accelerates the process.
Intelligent agent flows
The CSB Agent Platform securely embeds intelligent agent flows in CSB’s ERP system using controlled interfaces. Running in the customer’s own infrastructure, it allows revision and approval of automated results.
Users in the departments can configure new AI-assisted workflows without programming knowledge. At the same time, the human-in-the-loop approach ensures that automated results can be checked and approved before further processing.
CSB also takes a comprehensive approach to data security. As the Agent Platform is operated within the customer’s own infrastructure, business data remains in a protected environment. At no point is it used to train AI models.
Comprehensive AI strategy
The introduction of the CSB Agent Platform is part of CSB’s comprehensive AI strategy. Earlier this year, CSB-System launched “Cesy”, its AI assistant for ERP evaluations and contextual knowledge search.
“Artificial intelligence is not a separate product in our portfolio, but a strategic part of it. This means we are investing in AI skills and developing solutions that create tangible value for our customers. With Cesy, we have simplified information access. With our Agent Platform, we are now automating entire business processes. Step by step, we are making artificial intelligence an integral part of our customers’ value chain,” says Vanessa Kröner, CEO of CSB-System SE.
The necessary infrastructure is already in place: CSB recently started operating an AI server in its in-house data center to provide the agent flows with maximum inference performance while maintaining full data sovereignty – independently of external cloud providers.
