The participants will learn how to use databases independent of the CSB-System using the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. The focus is on the practical application of SQL commands and a basic introduction into administration of a Microsoft SQL server.
This course primarily addresses the Microsoft SQL server, highlighting the key differences from Oracle.
It is made clear that all-encompassing database administration is a job on its own, and that the participants can support database administrators and IT officers with their skills.
Participants will be able to perform basic queries and changes of data on the database using SQL with the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Additionally, they will learn the basic concepts for data backup and be able to use this knowledge to create a test version or export specific data files. They will also acquire the necessary skills to analyze error logs. All of this enables them to support other IT departments.
The participants will know how to apply the skills they acquired with great care to minimize the risk of damages, data loss, or standstill of a production system.
