Building on the basic information from the course “10050 Inventory Management (L1): How to Map Inventory Management (Introduction)”, you want to acquire in-depth knowledge of Inventory Management so you will be able to use the integrated inventory solution of the CSB-System efficiently in your company. This includes advanced inventory management functions as well as evaluations and, in particular, the logging options that allow you to trace internal workflows in the CSB-System. Logging is primarily needed for processes that do not produce results that could be immediately verified through user interaction. Besides the “fair weather” operation, it is vital in a complex system to detect deviations and to determine their cause by means of detailed logs.
You will be able to enter inventory capacities, and to manage the different storage positions and bin locations. Additionally, you will familiarize yourself with the inventory reservation options. You will learn how to establish cross-stocktaking evaluations and how to determine inventory consumption. You will run consistency checks and create and read inventory posting logs. Insights into the inventory posting modules and a concise overview of the system’s configuration options will make the system processes more transparent.
