Uniporc Ouest was founded in France in 1973 to help pig producers optimise the weighing and grading of carcasses in order to determine their commercial grade and value. This information is collected accurately and transparently and communicated to the entire industry.
Uniporc Ouest is the only French trade association that carries out all weighing, grading and data transmission processes for the pork industry across the eight regions in which it operates. Since 2008, Uniporc has been working with CSB as its IT partner. The following CSB solutions are used, among others:
CSB Image Meater
CSB Image Meater has been in use since June 2013. It consists of a video camera linked to an image analysis device that determines the fat content and the lean meat content (MFA) in the loin and rump areas of the pig carcasses. This fully automatic system replaces the Capteur Gras Maigre (CGM) grading device in 18 slaughter units. It is checked at the start and end of each slaughter day.
