CSB receives FLEISCHER-HANDWERK Award 2019 for CSB BASIC ERP

CSB BASIC ERP has won the FLEISCHER-HANDWERK Award 2019 in the category “Automation and Digitization”. The award of the B&L Medien publishing company was presented on May 5, 2019, at the IFFA, the leading international trade show of the meat industry in Frankfurt on the Main. The independent jury with experts from the fields of science, editorial offices and representatives of the publishing house's management particularly commended the concrete customer benefits of the new turnkey industry solution designed for small and medium-size enterprises in the meat industry. “It is always a great pleasure to award the prize to companies that not only care about their own innovation power, but also about the added value for its customers, by implementing it in valuable, practical solutions, concepts and technologies,” said Marco Theimer, chief editor of the German trade magazines FLEISCHER-HANDWERK and FLEISCHEREI TECHNIK.

 

CSB BASIC ERP – Easy introduction into digitization for small companies

Hermann Schalk, head of Sales at CSB-System AG, is pleased about the award: “We are proud that we have received this prize from the jury today. As an industry specialist, CSB always has focused on the concrete customer benefit. With our new CSB BASIC ERP, we especially want to help smaller industrial companies, butcher shops and chain stores with the digitization so they are able to meet the requirements of their commercial customers, to optimize their processes and to cut costs.”

 

The new Basic ERP has been on the market since early 2019, and customers like Juffinger, Kinnius and others have started using it. Schalk, who is a learned master butcher, explains: "In the development of Basic ERP, three aspects were of utmost importance to us. First, the software can be implemented very fast to increase rapidly the power of one's organization. Second, it is possible to use the software comfortably in the cloud, and to extend it or to adopt it to new conditions at any time. This reduces the work for the operator considerably. Third, the requirements of the food retail sector regarding quality assurance, traceability and EDI are covered. CSB Basic ERP thus offers the advantages of an industry-specific solution while keeping the complexity and the need for adaptations at an adequate level for our customers.”

 

 

Three ERP variants for companies of different sizes

For the sixth time now, the FLEISCHER-HANDWERK Award commended technical developments, concepts or services in meat and sausage processing that provide a sustained benefit for processing companies and for the quality of the food they produce. The prize is awarded by the German trade magazines FLEISCHEREI TECHNIK and FLEISCHER-HANDWERK of the B&L Medien publishing company at the IFFA in Frankfurt on the Main. This year's award was presented on May 5, 2019, during the IFFA-Forum in hall 11.1 C40.
