The standardized database eliminates duplicate entries in picking and realizes fast and paperless customer delivery. Seamless Traceability Along the Value-Added Chain
The SSCC is allocated by the CSB-System and allows for seamless traceability of the products
Staatl. Mineralbrunnen AG makes deliveries to ca. 500 customers, mostly in the food retail and beverage wholesale sector. Therefore, guarantee of comprehensive traceability is obligatory: “This was a hard and fast decision criterion when we were looking for ERP software. The CSB-System offers all required options to ensure documentation of all relevant traceability data along the value-added chain”, stresses Dirk Barthelmes. The beverage company is now able to determine immediately, when which quality of which product was exactly produced. In addition, all raw materials used in each beverage can be listed on request. Using the SSCC number (Serial Shipping Container Code), which is allocated by the CSB-System and directly linked with the products, it is possible to exactly determine the customer who received the goods. The SSCC code in combination with the CSB-System allows for seamless traceability and efficient recall actions. It also serves as access key to information belonging to shipping units which is recorded in databases. In addition, the code supports scanning at goods exit, in material management as well as at all other internal transfer points.
Few Administrative Expenses
Despite the complexity of the CSB-System, it is easy to
manage:
“We basically only need 1.5 people to secure the operation of our IT solution. This is not much and saves us a lot of costs and resources“,
